Post all characters for this role-play here. Remember that you can have as many as you can keep track of. Just be sure to make it clear who you are using in each thread.
No, you do not have to use the form provided. This is strictly for convenience.
Insert Image URL Here [/img] Name:Nickname(s): (optional) Gender:Age:Breed:Status: (stray or house dog?) Pack:Rank:Appearance: (one paragraph description. Try to cover things that may not be visible in a picture) Personality: (one paragraph as well. Try to avoid perfect characters that are "kind, sweet, smart and a good fighter". It's very hard for a character to be both fast and strong, or kind and extremely talented at violent acts, as those qualities contradict each other. So try to pick one or the other and go from there. And be logical about it.) Strengths: (list some things your character is good at/strong in. For example, a stocky dog would probably be physically strong/powerful, so that would be considered a strength. As would keen senses of any sort or being really fast or being really smart. But remember to be logical about it. A 35 pound border collie would not have "powerful jaws". Pitbulls and rottweilers have powerful jaws, not border collies. It's relative to head size and muscle mass so be smart about that sort of thing and remember your dog's physical appearance has some effect on what it can do.) Weaknesses: (the opposite of strengths, list as many things as as you can that your character is bad at. Try to have at least the same number of these as you do strengths, to be sure your character has some significant weaknesses. Try to avoid silly weaknesses like "falls in love too easily". That probably wouldn't effect a dog all that much, save maybe getting them a mate really quickly which is not much of a weakness unless you have something happen to that mate. So try to be logical and give your character a bunch of these.) History: (optional) insert speech color here

eceddb Name: Zeta Nickname(s): Sometimes Z or Zi for short.
Gender: Male Age: Adult- 5 years old Breed: White Doberman Pinscher
Status: Stray (abandoned pet) Pack: Ether Park Dogs Rank: Alpha Male
Appearance: Once a well cared for pet, Zeta is in pretty good shape for a stray. His body is fit, lean like a doberman should be, but strong at the same time. Well, strong enough for his size and muscle mass. Having been trapped in an apartment for the greater part of the past season, he is noticeably thin, with many of his skeletal points (hips, shoulders, spine, ribs) all visible. However, since being freed, he's been regaining bits and pieces of his strength and, though unhealthy, he is beginning to come back from the cruelty bestowed upon him by terrified humans. His brilliantly white fur is dull from dirt, dust, grime and dried blood especially, areas of his shoulders and face scraped raw by what looks like claw marks. Hundreds of slash like cuts crisscross his face, head, neck and shoulders. The wounds are fairly fresh, just barely scabs, and though rain has done something to clear his short, harsh coat of the muck, much of his body is still tinged red with his own blood, as well as the blood of only god knows what else. Around his neck, now loose from weight loss, he still bears the black leather collar his humans once used to claim him as their own. It too is dirty and stained with blood, if not so clearly due to its dark color. Cracking and wearing down from the elements, he is commonly seen scratching at it, but makes no attempt to remove it.
Other than his strangely white fur, Zeta is a very stereotypical doberman. He is a little large for the breed, and thin as mentioned prior, but is otherwise very impressive to look at. Proportionally, he is perfectly square, just as long as he is tall with a short, docked stub of a tail and long, pointed, triangular ears. His head is lean, his overall form sleek, if a little bony and lanky, and he is otherwise totally stereotypical for a doberman. His skin is the customary pink color seen in white dobermans, and his eyes are a light shining blue.
He was probably a gorgeous dog when he was still a pet.
Personality: Zeta has always been a very wise and watchful dog. Calm, cool and very collected, he is very easy-going, difficult to frazzle and even more difficult to trick, tease or torment. He always seemed to keep his wits about him, even when living the relaxed life of a house pet, always keeping one cropped ear out for anything that might be of interest to him or his situation, always carefully analyzing everything in his environment. Searching, always searching for answers to questions not asked. Pondering, thoughtful, he was considered a bit of a nerd by other dogs, constantly lost in thought and always one to take the most cautious and conservative action.
However, since his abandonment, Zeta has lost that outgoing shine that had made him such a good leader in the past. He still has that wit, that clever eye for fools and tricks, but that confidence to face them has left him. No longer does he stand before problems and face them, instead he turns his back, almost timid, afraid, of what he might lose this time. He does not literally run or literally fear, shake or tremble, but oh how he hesitates. While before, he wanted nothing more than to figure out what is going on in town, now he dreadfully avoids it. When pack members bring up the Black Cur, Zeta either shows a temper he never seemed to have before or he very quickly changes the subject and leaves the area. He is so fleeting, almost mysterious now...
...and honestly not much of a leader anymore.
Strengths: Intelligent, thoughtful/clever, cautious/patient/doesn't rush into things or situations, thorough in the things that he does, keen senses (hearing specifically), fairly agile Weaknesses: Thin/weak, malnourished, poor eyesight, tall with a high center of gravity/poor balance, slightly neurotic (barks at ringing cellphones and other high pitched noises, and is obsessed with anyone/anything that looks or sounds chinese), easily distracted by neurotic triggers, sensitive skin/prone to sun burn and poison ivy, lacks physical strength/power, little fighting experience, has become timid/shy since his abandonment, weak in the left front leg/walks with a limp
History: Not much is known about Zeta's past. He was purchased from a breeder, a purebred doberman unfit for showing due to his color. He was purchased by a wealthy business man as a present for his (at the time) young daughter. Zeta grew up between the two of them: the girl's best friend, but the businessman's guard dog and protector. Though there were other people in the family, he was most attached to the two of them. Eventually, the man started his own home business and the family moved to rural Maine (where they'd had a summer home) for good. They'd lived here for only a few years when the attack happened.
Supposedly, Zeta's master was one of the first people to be killed by the Cur. How exactly this happened is only speculated, however the popular story is that Zeta actually fought the Cur in order to protect his human, who later died despite the dog's efforts. That is supposedly how he received all the cuts and gashes across his head, face and neck: the claws of the Cur. But again, no one knows for sure. Zeta refuses to speak of it.
All that is known is that, once the man died, Zeta's family fled the city in absolute terror, tossing Zeta into an upstairs bedroom while they frantically packed only to forget to grab him before they left. He was left there, alone, for almost a month before he managed to desperately chew his way through a back door, escaping out onto a balcony from which he leapt. He damaged his front left shoulder and elbow in the fall and now walks with a bit of a limp, especially when the weather acts up, but is otherwise alive and well enough. He is still rather thin from going so long without food, but is slowly making a come back now that he is free to hunt and beg. Since many of the towns folk knew his humans, many are sympathetic. However, few are aware of his abandonment.

Gypsy; the guard dog of Ether Park Name: Gypsy Nickname(s): None
Gender: Female Age: 4 years - adult Breed: Rottweiler
Status: House Pack: Ether Park Dogs Rank: Alpha Female
Appearance: Like most rottweilers, Gyspy has a dark black coat of fur, with a caramel brown coat on her face, eyebrows, chest neck and legs. She is rather stocky and build, but that is because she was raised as a guard dog.
Personality: Gypsy is primarily a companion dog, with her dignified, unexcitable nature and natural cleanliness making her well suited to being part of the household. Like all Rottweilers, she has a natural guarding instinct with un unpredictable nature. She is very loyal and affectionate to her owners but is self assured and adopts a fearless temperament, combined with her great strength make her an ideal guard dog. Gypsy was never a shy dog to begin with, but has grown favorable and trustworthy amongst her owners and the dogs in the area. She has quite a dry wit, but always on alert for danger.
Strengths: Good judgement; stealthy during the night especially with her dark coat; is never reckless; over-protective. Weaknesses: Sometimes talks a little too much at the wrong times; is used to taking charge, but never really becomes the leader; working with other dogs.
History: Just as Gypsy turned one year old, in human years, it was then her owners decided to show her in the weekly canine shows. Her owners, Brad and Sonya Anderson decided that she was in proportion, and adopted the right stance and build for showing in her age range and breed. Since then, she has been pretty successfull for about a year. She was not the best dog in the area, but she wasn't the worst either. She picket up a few third place, second place and even one first place ribbon for Best in Breed. But her owners decided not to carry on with it, since it wasn't the right moment to show her.
So after that, she settled down and became a guard dog instead. Since she wasn't as active as she used to be, she grew more stocky and built, and suited best to guard the property. There was not much to say about her history, since it's been a few years since she retired from being a showdog. Her owners don't have kids, so frankly, she does not know how to react when they finally arrive.
But since she heard the mysterious appearance of the black dog, she has been nothing but alert. Most of the night is spent sitting on the front lawn like a statue awaiting his appearance. But she has seen nothing but his shadow.
